Böwe Bell + Howell Expands, Enhances Rewards Program for VARS
Wheeling, Ill., July 7, 2004 - Böwe Bell + Howell has expanded its successful Big Picture Partner Program, making more value-added resellers (VARs) eligible for rewards for meeting sales goals of Böwe Bell + Howell scanners, and enhancing benefits for all participants.
The program - which rewards VARs, system integrators and full solutions providers now has five performance - based levels. In addition to the existing "Director," "Executive," "Director" and "Producer" tiers, Böwe Bell + Howell has extended some of the existing program benefits to "Superstars" with a $100,000 annual sales requirement, and enhanced the rewards for "Executive Producers" who bring in $650,000 in annual sales and are trained and certified to provide service on the scanners.
The new levels bookend the three ranks already in place. Directors, Executive Directors and Producerss are defined by annual sales of $250,000, $350,000, and $650,000, respectively. Performance levels are tracked quarterly at the MSRP.
Under the enhanced program, all Big Picture partners in good standing receive an exclusive point of sale discount on all new Copiscan 8000 Spectrum Series scanners purchased from an authorized Böwe Bell + Howell distributor. Directors, Executive Directors, Producers and Executive Producers who achieve their quarterly revenue goals will also receive rebates ranging from 2 to 5 percent on every new Spectrum they purchase.
Spectrum, newly available with 'Auto Color Detect,' is the imaging industry's most cost-effective production scanner for color, bitonal and grayscale.

The program began July 1, 2004, and runs through June 30, 2005. Each program year Böwe Bell + Howell evaluates participating VARs and invites them to renew their memberships at the appropriate level.
