Three Industry Groups Honored Böwe Bell + Howell Scanners, Its VARs and End Users at AIIM 2005

WHEELING, Ill., June 6, 2005 —Böwe Bell + Howell Scanners today announced that their Copiscan® 8000 Spectrum Series scanners and some of the company’s channel partners and end users were honored in several award competitions at AIIM 2005. AIIM is the premier enterprise and document management event, held in Philadelphia from May 17-19.

The second annual I3 Awards, cosponsored by Advanstar’s AIIM 2005 and Integrated Solutions magazine, recognized end users for content management technology installations that are innovative, integrate multiple technologies and inspire others.

Upromise® Investments, Inc. (Needham, Mass.), a registered broker-dealer, won an I3 Award in the Innovative Small-to-Midsize Business (SMB) Installation category for the system it designed to image and route participant requests and automate transaction processing. Böwe Bell + Howell was recognized for its Spectrum 8125 scanner, which was a vital part of the technology solution.

Cosponsored by Advanstar’s AIIM 2005 and Business Solutions magazine, the sixth annual Channel Connection Awards recognized VARs and integrators for outstanding content management technology installations that demonstrate integration complexity and deliver ROI.

Imaging Solutions, Inc. (Wallingford, Conn.) won the Innovative Content Management Installation Award for a solution it implemented for H.W. Wilson, a publisher of library reference materials. Böwe Bell + Howell gained recognition for its Spectrum scanners, which are an integral part of the system that allows the publisher to image and electronically route articles.

ECM Connection recognized Böwe Bell + Howell Scanners as a finalist in two categories — High-Volume and Low-Volume To Mid-Volume Scanning Hardware Vendors — for this year’s Industry ACE Awards. ECM Connection is a premier online publication and sourcing site for end users and integrators in the ECM (enterprise content management) industry.

“Recognition for the company and our product lines is always rewarding, but what gets our team most excited is when our partners and end users are acknowledged for their award-winning technology solutions,” said Russell Hunt, president of Böwe Bell + Howell Scanners.

  • At AIIM 2005, Böwe Bell + Howell kept up with its mission of continually improving its product line by introducing two new production scanners: Trūper 3200: a new, versatile low-volume production scanner with exceptional speed and a high duty cycle that meets the everyday document imaging needs of businesses in markets such as finance, insurance, healthcare, transportation and education.
