Wide Format Scanner Uses

Wide format scanners are typically used to scan documents such as land surveys, architectural drawings and engineering drawings.  You can expect to find them in service bureaus, engineering and architectural firms, as well as with Geographic Information Systems (GIS).  These over sized documents are scanned for many of the same reasons people in the traditional document imaging world scan documents.  Users are looking to digitally archive the information and also to share it with a larger audience.  Additionally, once the image is scanned, users find it easier to print and clean up or manipulate the original image.

The Infinity WF's unique paper transport system ensures documents are handled with speed, clarity and great care.  A straight paper path can be used to pass a delicate document through the scanner so that no turns or bends are incurred.
