Rotary vs. Straight Paper Path

Trūper incorporates a rotary design for its Automatic Document Feeder (ADF).  This provides significant operational benefits for the scanner operator versus a straight through paper path.

First, the documents are kept in the same order in which they are scanned.  Straight through scanners completely reverse the order of the documents after they have been scanned, making it difficult to re-assemble the batch in the correct order.  This reduces post scan document preparation.

Second, with a rotary scanner, the scanner operator stays in the same location.  Documents enter and exit on the same side reducing movement and improving efficiency.  With a straight through scanner, the documents enter on one side, and are deposited on the other after the scanning has been completed.  This requires extra desktop “real estate” for the scanner.
