How do I determine what version of firmware is running on my Spectrum or 8000 Plus scanner?

On the scanner’s front panel, press the “CLEAR” key, then press the right arrow key several times until the "Code Revision Numbers" menu is displayed, which will look like this:

Press the F3 “NEXT” key to display the scanner firmware version.

The number in the upper left-hand corner called "Scanner Rev." is the current version of your scanner's firmware.
