I have installed the Kofax Adrenaline 650i card and VRS software for my 8000 Spectrum scanner, why doesn't it work?

The most frequent error here is that the hardware has been installed before the software. Completely uninstall the software and the Kofax 650i card. Re-install the software, then install the card.

  1. Completely uninstall any SCSI device (excluding a SCSI card driving a hard drive) from the Device manager.
  2. Reinstall the VRS 3.05 CD.
  3. Cold boot the PC.
  4. Install Kofax 650i PCI SCSI card.
  5. When Windows restarts, the proper drivers will be install for all SCSI devices, through the “found new hardware” wizard.
