Can I have more than one version of VRS installed a single workstation at a time?
No. Different versions of VRS utilize different versions of ImageControls. Therefore, VRS, which ships standard with every Copiscan 8000 Spectrum scanner, must be installed after any previous version is uninstalled. If you are using the same PC workstation that you used previously with a Copiscan 8000 Plus scanner, you will need to uninstall VRS in the following way:
- Search for a file named: icunin.exe and execute it
- After the icunin.exe file has been executed, go to the add/remove programs wizard in the Control Panel and remove "Ace Virtual Rescan"
- Reboot the PC
You will now be ready to install VRS.
