What does Spectrum ship with?

All Copiscan® 8000 Spectrum models ship with the following:

Scanner Hardware

  • 500-page automatic document feeder (ADF)
  • Adjustable exit tray – can be tilted upwards for shorter documents or downwards for longer documents (up to 40" or 1,016 mm in length)
  • Exit tray extension
  • Pre-scan imprinter – standard on all 8125D models, optional on all others (8100D, 8080S/D)
  • Camera calibration kit – 10 control sheets, two test targets and instructions
  • Power cord
  • Hardcopy operator manual (English)
  • Operator CD – electronic operator manuals in English, Chinese, French, German, Japanese, Korean, and Spanish
  • "Steps for Maximizing Throughput and Minimizing File Space" guide
  • Warranty card – please fill out and return to Böwe Bell + Howell

Kofax VirtualReScan (VRS)

  • VRS 3.5 – primarily the software interface for all hardware VRS functionality embedded in the scanner
  • User manual – in both hardcopy and electronic format

The combination of Spectrum hardware VRS and the software interface is the single most effective way at reducing labor costs in your scanning application

Drivers

  • ImageControls – developed and certified by Kofax
  • ISIS – developed and certified by Pixel Translations
  • TWAIN – developed by Kofax

All of the above drivers work with the standard SCSI interface featured on all Spectrum models.

PC Interface Board

  • Kofax Adrenaline 650i PC interface board – high volume or "HV" for the 8100D and 8125D, and mid-volume "MV" for the 8080S/D models; each Adrenaline board has a SCSI interface and comes standard with AIPE (Advance Image Processing Engine)
  • D68-pin SCSI-3 cable – connects your Spectrum unit to your PC
