How do I uninstall VRS?

The following are step-by-step instructions to uninstall VRS software from a PC. Note: this procedure assumes that you have an Image Controls or VRS installation CD to re-install on the PC after the correct uninstall has been followed.

1. All steps to be run before installing version of 1.04 VRS over 1.05 VRS on your PC

2. Go to Windows Control Panels Add/Remove program, and remove ACE VirtualReScan from your PC.(Press "Yes to All" when prompted for file uninstall)

3. Next, Use the Windows Find Files program to find and delete all files with the following name patterns: Kofax200.ini, *310.*, bic*

Note: uninstalling VRS should not be necessary. However, if you want to downgrade your PC software from VRS 1.05 to VRS 1.04, VRS 1.05 host software needs to be uninstalled with this procedure and the scanner Avocet board would need to be re-loaded with VRS 1.04 firmware.
