Copiscan II: FAQs
I'm using a Bell & Howell scanner with an ADF 500. When I scan, my throughput is less than rated speed. Why?
The solution may lie in in the ADF settings. The ADF 100 and ADF 500 have a jumper setting (labeled P2) that controls the single or dual page configuration. If incorrectly set, the ADF speed will not match the scanner's speed, causing slower throughput. To set the jumper, first remove the feeder. There are two sets of jumpers on the feeder: one on the left and one on the right. Set the P2 jumper on the left between 1&2 if you are using a single-sided scanner (2138, 3338 and 3338A models) or between 2&3 if you are using the discontinued 6338 (duplex). After changing the jumper settings, make sure to reload your drivers.
