Initial Set-Up

  1. Read the Sidekick Operator Manual (located on the Sidekick CD).
    • Insert the Sidekick CD into the appropriate drive on your Personal Computer. [NOTE: The drive letter will vary depending on where your computer CD-ROM drive is located.]
    • Microsoft Autoplay will launch, displaying the Select Your Language screen. If you do not have Autoplay enabled, select Start then Run and type D:SETUP.EXE (where D: is the CD-ROM drive). Click OK.
    • Select your language and click OK.
    • Choose View Manuals.
    • Choose View Sidekick Manual.
  2. Verify the Personal Computer requirements.
    • Refer to the Sidekick Operator Manual "Specifications, System Requirements" section.
  3. Connect the scanner.
    • Refer to the Sidekick Operator Manual "Installing the Scanner, Initial Setup and Installation" section.
  4. Install Software.
    • Refer to the Sidekick Operator Manual "Installing the Scanner, Sidekick Software Installation" section.
