Rollers: Cleaning

To ensure optimal scanning performance, the paper feed rollers should be cleaned once a week or when 20,000 sheets or more are fed into the unit. In an environment where NCR paper is used, it is recommended that the paper feed rollers are cleaned on a daily basis. Treated papers, like NCR paper, contain chemicals that cause rollers to deteriorate at an accelerated rate, requiring roller replacement much sooner than scheduled. A good daily cleaning of the paper feed rollers with isopropyl alcohol will help to prolong the life of the rollers in this harsh environment.
