During shipping, the Spectrum XF has tape installed on the sides of the lamp assembly. This is done to ensure that the lamp assemblies do not shift during shipping. This tape is only used during shipping and needs to be removed before scanner use. If the tape remains in place, especially during scanning, VRS or similar scanning software’s image crop function will lock on the tapes edge and cause an unwanted gap or border. Remove the tape from the Front and Back Lamp Housings before scanner use.
