Prerequisites: Very Important
Students enrolling in this training class must also have a basic understanding of Personal Computers and PC terminology, be familiar with loading drivers and file management, and have a working knowledge of Microsoft Windows 2000/XP.
Students are highly recommended to bring a notebook computer with them to class for driver setup training. PC Notebook Technical Specifications:
- Processor - 1.30GHz or higher Intel® Pentium® or equivalent
- Operating System - Microsoft® Windows® XP Professional w/service pack 2, 2000 Professional w/service pack 4 with ADMIN rights to the local machine.
- Storage/ Hard drive, HDD - 40 GB or higher internal hard drive
- Memory – minimum, 512MB
- Screen/display - 14.1" XGA active matrix (TFT) displays
- PCMCIA slot (for Adaptec #1480 PCMCIA card to SCSI)
- USB port, DB9 serial port or PCMCIA to RS-232 card, DB9 serial card cable, minimum CD-ROM 24x
